BWC Food Heroes Event serves 130 food pantry, giving garden, and food organization volunteers

The Brunswick Coalition hosted the third annual Food Heroes event to celebrate and education volunteers working to feed those in need across Brunswick County. On October 1 at Shallotte Presbyterian Church, volunteers gathered to celebrate their tireless efforts. Among many awards, Mary Pritchard and Willie Sloan were honored for their tireless, selfless examples of serving the northern and southern areas Brunswick County. It was a rewarding time together to network among pantries, churches, and others who support providing healthy foods for local residents.
