Get at least 150 minutes (2.5 hours) of heart-pumping physical activity per week to reap the benefits.
To spark physical movement, BWC began Walk with a Doc in 2018. Over time, walking has significantly increased across Brunswick County with communities being introduced to walking trails and parks as places for all abilities to gather and get moving. The BWC Walk with a Doc program led to the formation and sustainment of many walking groups. With the countywide availability of walking options, the Walk with a Doc Brunswick chapter dissolved in December 2022.
