The coveted Spunky team trophy was awarded to The Mobility Doctor team. An after-event meet up was hosted by Fizzy Janes with a customized BWC Spring Into Health event menu.

Dr. Leigh Lane, the Coalition’s Executive Director said, “With over 215 participants, we see returning participants and new faces at Spring Into Health. BWC feels it is reaching more people in the quest to be the healthiest county in North Carolina.” Lane added, “We could not host such an awesome event without financial support from sponsors, over 70 volunteers, and safety the City of Southport police and fire/rescue.” This year, the Shallotte Middle School Junior Honor Society students was the largest group of event volunteers.

As a founding member of BWC and a supporter of community health initiatives, Dosher Memorial Hospital hosted the 2025 Spring Into Health 5K/1m Run as a continued demonstration to quality community health involvement.
