Care Fair stops in BSL!

BWC is taking the County Care Fair to Boiling Spring Lakes on Saturday, May 4 from 3 – 6pm at the VFW Post 10400, 3161 George II Hwy, Southport, NC.There will be a wide range of free health screenings, education, and professionals available to answer your questions about your mental and physical health. There will also be several door prizes and giveaways.Health services and education available at the fair will include:

    • Nutrition & weight management education
    • Prescription/medication management education
    • Diabetes screenings
    • Blood pressure screenings
    • Hepatitis C screenings
    • Dental/oral health information and consultations
    • Advance directives assistance with free notary
    • Mental health information and support

There will also be 30 minute health talks as follows:

    • 3:00pm: Medication Therapy Management
    • 3:30pm: Eating the My Plate Way
    • 4:00pm: Fitness & Exercise Modifications
    • 4:30pm: Stress Reduction & Resiliency
    • 5:00pm: Navigating VA claim benefits
    • 5:30pm: Nutrition Q&A
